Raft the Ayung river near Ubud with its beauiful river valleys, steep ravines and stunning waterfalls. The Ayung river has rapids classed as Grade 2-3 (see FAQ 4 below for explanation of the rapid grading system). This is still a lot of fun and maybe a good start for younger children.

If you want somethng a little longer and a little more challenging with Grade 3-4 rapids then the Telaja Waga river might be the choice for you.

The following are the definitons of Class 2, 3 and 4 rapids which are the rapids in these rafting trips (For your information, it does go up to Grade 6)

Class II: Easy rapids with smaller waves, clear channels that are obvious without scouting. Some maneuvering might be required.

Class III: Rapids with high, irregular waves. Narrow passages that often require precise manoeuvring.

Class IV: Long, difficult rapids with constricted passages that often require complex maneuvering in turbulent water. The course may be hard to determine and scouting is often necessary.
