FAQs

You have several trail options from 1.5km to 5.5km. There are clearly marked, paved walking tracks with places to stop on the way for a cool drink. People tend to be captued by the beauty of this area so a slow stroll is more the norm. Allow 1-2 hours on average.

We have found a great jungle track nearby Jatiluwih where there are usually no people or very few. You may like to take a short walk up the track to have a jungle experience and see some magnificient huge trees in the area. We suggest allowing 30-60 minutes for this. Please see the gallery for some photos of this area.

Lake Beratan is a beautiful mountain lake with the famous temple Pura Ulun Danu situated on the lakeside (see gallery). It is about a 50 minute drive from Jatiluwih. If you haven’t done lots of walking you will have plenty of time to fit this in. Whilst not in a direct line back to south Bali, the drive is not moving you further away from your return home.
